This is a rare opportunity to work as a Certified Medical Assistant for one of the nation's most well known company healthcare clinics in NY,NY. You will be joining a wonderful and collaborate team treating employees of the company with an opportunity to extend or move to perm.

DAYS: M-F 8am to 6pm with a 60 minute lunch (unpaid)

Rate of pay will be highly competitive and based on experience.

Contract dates: ASAP to 5/1/26

You MUST be a certified CMA with a at least a year of clinical experience treating patients.

Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant Candidates

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required - Must have certification from an accredited school

• Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills required

• Experience with POC testing preferred

• Experience with Epic preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Interviews patients, measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) and records information on patient health records • Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination, cleans and sterilizes instruments • Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials • Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations • Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies • Performs other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• National certification in Medical Assisting from an approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted

• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required

• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists
