The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing the outbound shipment of goods from the warehouse and distribution center. This role ensures that all products are accurately picked, packed, and shipped according to customer requirements and company standards. The clerk works closely with the shipping team to maintain efficiency and accuracy in the shipping process, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Weekly pay starting at $17.50/hr and benefits available.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Forklift Certified.
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pick parcel and sample orders and prepare for shipping.
- Process shipments of parcel packages through Digital Shipper and SX.e for Fed Ex and UPS.
- Receive and process UPS and Fed Ex deliveries, checking for accuracy and delivering to the appropriate person or bin location.
- Maintain the address book in Digital Shipper for non-order addresses.
- Process proofs of delivery, when necessary.
- Performs the daily close for all parcel carriers in Digital Shipper.
- Set daily routes for drivers using Decartes
- Respond to all emails in a timely manner
- Periodically assist in the receiving process for stock and non-stock merchandise other than small parcels, run the pre-receiving report, and enter PO receipts.
- Assist in handling the inbound driver’s window in the absence of the Warehouse Manager or a supervisor in the warehouse office.
- Schedule loads with vendors by email and add them to the schedule.
- Replenish office copier stations, supplies for the kitchen, and office cleaning service.
- Inspect products for defects, damages, or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
