We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and experience in public accounting. This role involves preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The Tax Preparer will also provide excellent customer service, guiding clients through the tax preparation process and answering any questions they may have.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
- Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and potential deductions.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client information effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information while providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall efficiency of the tax preparation process.
- Conduct financial sales discussions with clients regarding additional services offered.
Requirements
- Proficiency in financial concepts, public accounting, and corporate accounting practices.
- Experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Sage.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Knowledge of financial sales principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
- Previous experience in tax preparation is preferred but not mandatory.
