Supplier Quality Engineer | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $76,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans for incoming materials and components.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess their quality management systems and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including non-conformances and complaints.
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in their processes and product quality.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality.
- Review and approve supplier PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation.
- Manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and ensure timely and effective closure.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by evaluating supplier capabilities and readiness.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in supplier quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software and methodologies.
- - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- - Certification in relevant quality standards (e.g., ASQ CQE, ISO 9001).
- - Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone diagrams).
- - Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Minitab, Tableau).
