St. Ambrose University is seeking a Coordinator of Veterans Recruitment & Services to lead veteran recruitment, oversee educational benefits certification, and provide support services for military-connected students and their families. This full-time professional role works across multiple departments-including Admissions, Registrar, Advising, and Student Support-to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for our veteran community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit veterans through schools, agencies, and community events.
- Serve as the University's Primary School Certifying Official for VA benefits.
- Assist with admissions, advising, and retention of veteran students.
- Manage compliance with federal, state, and military education programs.
- Coordinate and host veteran-focused events and recognition ceremonies.
- Maintain partnerships with local, state, and national veteran organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; experience with veterans' benefits and/or higher education preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Veteran or military family background a plus.
