Position Summary
Achilles Care, LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead and oversee the clinical operations of our growing Home Health Agency. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, clinical documentation oversight, and ongoing education of nursing personnel. This leadership role requires extensive home health experience, strong administrative capabilities, and a passion for mentoring and developing clinical staff.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Pennsylvania license.
- Minimum of 2 years of public nursing or acute hospital experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Medicare Home Health Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative/supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of home health documentation requirements, OASIS, ICD-10 coding, care planning, quality assurance, Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), and Pennsylvania home health regulations.
- Experience with EMR systems and Alora software
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills to effectively communicate with nurses, physicians, case managers, and patients.
- Valid state driver's license and car insurance
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership:
- Direct and oversee all clinical services provided by the agency.
- Ensure patient care meets federal, state, and agency standards.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff.
Staff Supervision & Education:
- Orient, supervise, and evaluate nursing personnel.
- Develop and conduct clinical training programs.
- Provide ongoing education regarding home health regulations, documentation requirements, and best practices.
- Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor OASIS accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure plans of care are developed and implemented according to physician orders.
- Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulations.
Administrative Duties:
- Participate in budgeting and resource planning.
- Assist with policy and procedure development.
- Prepare for surveys and regulatory inspections.
