Special Education Teacher K-12 | Lodi, CA | Contract Position
This opportunity is for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students across multiple grade levels including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 in a school setting located in Lodi, California. The position offers a contract role with a focus on delivering specialized instruction in self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Active California Special Education Teaching License required
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings preferred
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads including self-contained and resource classrooms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and families
- Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education regulations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students needs in self-contained and resource classrooms
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments
- Address behavioral and social-emotional needs through proactive strategies and interventions
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and services
Position Details:
- Contract start: As soon as possible through end of the school year
- Workweek: 5 days, 30-37.5 hours per week
- Pay Range: $45-$55+ per hour depending on experience
- Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade
