Job Description

SpineSearch is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join a concierge internal medicine practice in Bergen County, NJ. The person in this role checks patients in to and out of the medical practice and provides thorough secretarial and administrative. A successful Patient Care Coordinator possesses a strong commitment to providing superior service and views every interaction as an opportunity to build a trusting relationship with the patient.


Responsibilities:

  • Help manage and oversee the non-clinical needs of each patient within your Care Team
  • Participates in daily and weekly huddles with your Care Team to review patient needs
  • Interact with patients as they arrive and depart, including: Greeting, checking-in, checking-out, and collecting any necessary information from patients
  • Ensure that patients have everything that they need prior to their visit, help escort patients to physician offices, and ensure their comfort and well-bring throughout their visit
  • Maintain accurate patient demographic data and help ensure patient information is properly maintained in the EMR
  • Tend to patient calls and emails, and triage them to the appropriate point of contact
  • Assist patients in scheduling appointments and for specialty visits, medical imaging visits, and any other medical related appointments outside of our offices

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Hold bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience (at least 7+ years of work experience).
  • Customer service experience and a strong hospitality mindset.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry, preferred but not necessary.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using basic Microsoft applications (Outlook and Word)
