Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented, student-centered workplace
  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with diverse learners and supporting their growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to determine students’ needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support educational participation
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other specialists to incorporate therapy goals into daily classroom routines
  • Document progress and prepare clear, thorough reports for IEP meetings and parent communications
  • Provide direct and consultative services within the classroom and one-on-one settings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support holistic student development
  • Offer ongoing education and strategies to teachers and caregivers to foster skill-building outside of therapy sessions
