Join our Construction Janitorial Team at an Electrical Manufacturing Facility located in San Carlos, CA. This is an 8-month contract-to-hire position with opportunities to become an internal employee upon successful completion. We are seeking dedicated individuals to maintain cleanliness and safety in an environment that supports a leading manufacturer and service provider of electrical transformers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and hallways.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and shared equipment.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper goods, and PPE stations.
- Support waste management, including proper disposal of industrial materials.
- Follow all facility safety rules, especially around electrical equipment and restricted zones.
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- For Lead Janitors: Serve as the on-shift point of contact for supervisors, assign daily tasks, conduct quality checks, train new team members, and coordinate with facility management.
Essential Skills
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience required, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work safely around electrical equipment and follow strict safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- For Lead roles: Prior leadership or team-lead experience strongly preferred.
- Must pass standard onboarding requirements through Aerotek.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
