Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A surgical technologist with expertise in orthopedics is needed for a contract role supporting a specialized Spine, Hip, and Joint Preservation Center operating in a modern surgical facility. This opportunity involves working in a Main Operating Room setting dedicated to advanced procedures like spine fusions, ALIFS, and total joint replacements.
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, set within a state-of-the-art medical complex known for its cutting-edge technology and comprehensive orthopedic care. The center is staffed by an experienced team of approximately 60 professionals, working to deliver high-quality outcomes in spine and joint surgeries.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Weekend coverage: Call only on Saturdays and Sundays
- Night call: 5:00 PM 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday (no overnight required)
- 10 or 12-hour shifts available for ASAP start
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical teams during a range of orthopedic procedures focusing on spine and joint cases
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with unit policies
- Ensure a sterile environment throughout all phases of surgery
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other operating room personnel to facilitate efficient patient care
Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Demonstrated clinical experience with spine and joint surgical cases is essential
- General surgery skills are a plus and preferred
- Ability to adapt flexibly in a dynamic surgical environment
- Willingness to participate in call schedules as needed
