📍 Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407
📅 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
🕒 Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
💰 Travel Pay: $3,000 – $3,600 Weekly Gross (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

A leading acute care hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week assignment. This role supports a high-volume Interventional Radiology suite and provides imaging services across inpatient, OR, ER, and procedural settings.

First-time IR Techs are welcome to apply if they meet general imaging experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full daily caseload (approximately 9 procedures per tech) in the IR suite

• Provide radiologic imaging services for inpatient units, Operating Room (OR), Emergency Room (ER), and interventional procedures

• Operate imaging equipment to assist physicians during procedures

• Ensure high image quality while maintaining radiation and patient safety standards

• Perform X-ray procedures including:

  • Extremities

  • Abdomen/GI

  • Spine/Pelvis

  • Head

  • Chest/Thorax

  • Upper & Lower Extremities

Interventional Procedures Include:

• Stents, angioplasty, angiograms

• Nephrogram and peripheral imaging

• Drain placements (upper/lower extremity, abdominal, pelvic)

• Genitourinary and vascular imaging studies

• Neurological imaging studies

• Venous access procedures

• Prepare and coordinate patients for procedures

• Maintain sterile technique and assist with positioning

• Document procedures in EMR (Epic/Excellian preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in IR or related imaging settings (inpatient, OR, ER, or IR)

• First-time IR techs accepted

• Strong understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

• ARRT – Required

Licensure

• Active State License preferred

• Pending State License accepted
