Connect Staffing is hiring a General Laborer for a wire rope and rigging assembly manufacturer in Houston, TX 77041. This is a temp position. In this role, you will load and unload industrial shipments, stage and move wire rope and rigging materials throughout the yard, and deliver materials to workstations to keep production running.
Pay:$22.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Location: Houston, TX

Responsibilities
- Stage and move wire rope, rigging hardware, and other industrial materials throughout the yard and facility.
- Operate a pallet jack to transport materials between storage areas and workstations.
- Sort and organize incoming and outgoing materials to support production and shipping.
- Inspect materials for visible damage and report any issues or safety concerns to a supervisor.
- Keep the work area clean and clear following site safety guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with wire rope, rigging equipment, or industrial hardware.
- Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment in varying weather conditions.
- Experience performing heavy physical labor and material handling.

Pre-Employment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — E-Verify will be used.
