Rhode Island's Premier Seafood Restaurant, Providence Oyster Bar, located on Federal Hill in Providence is searching for a Restaurant General Manager!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

  • Ensure guests receive exceptional service and a positive, memorable dining experience.

  • Monitor compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and health department regulations.

  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of employees.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for food, beverages, and supplies.

  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

  • Uphold cleanliness, organization, and operational standards throughout the restaurant.

  • Communicate effectively with ownership, staff, and vendors.

  • Provide exceptional service and support to staff as needed.

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Uphold the company's policies and procedures.

  • All other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory and/management experience
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with administrative responsibilities such as POS management, payroll, inventory, ordering, etc.
  • Experience managing budgets, labor costs, inventory, food cost controls, etc.
