Job Title: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Weston, FL
Job Type: Contract (Travel/Local)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- Day Shift: 4x10-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Weekend requirement: Discussed during interview
- On-call requirement: Yes
Compensation
- Travel Rate: $67 – $70/hour ($2,512 – $2,625/week) – based on experience
- Local Rate: $55 – $60/hour ($2,062 – $2,250/week) – based on experience
Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech with strong cardiac catheterization experience. This role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining high clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Perform scrub technologist duties within the Cath Lab
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
- Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to clinical changes
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including nearby affiliated facilities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab experience (2 years preferred)
- Experience as a scrub technologist in a Cath Lab setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Willingness to float to nearby facilities within a 20-mile radius
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA required
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred
- RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technician) preferred
Additional Requirements
- First-time travelers accepted
- On-call participation required
- No block scheduling available
- Must complete time-sensitive onboarding modules promptly after confirmation
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission; late requests may not be approved
