Job DescriptionJob Title: Converting Supervisor - 2nd shift
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
We are seeking a flexible individual available to transition between 1st and 3rd shift with advance notice while we establish a 2nd shift at our facility.
Day to Day Role:
- Maintain Safety and compliance within the plant
- Achieve quality initiatives by leading processes to ensure the lowest cost and best quality
- Minimizing waste within the department by driving awareness, training, and accountability
- Drive the 5s Initiatives/housekeeping
- Drive maximum throughput within the department by increasing uptimes and machine speeds
- Work with the Maintenance team to maintain machine cleanliness and the PM schedule
- Review and analyze production reporting for accuracy.
- Coach and develop employees to maximize effectiveness
- Identifies systems and procedures designed to improve operations and makes necessary recommendations
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 8+ years in a high speed manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Customer service-related experience, or equivalent training and experience in other plant operations
- The ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment is essential
- Basic computer experience (word processing, Excel, and PowerPoint)
