Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and reliable Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who understands West African cuisine (or is eager to learn), takes pride in presentation and consistency, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to our recipes and presentation standards

  • Collaborate on specials and seasonal menu development

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times

  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Manage prep lists and communicate inventory needs

  • Work closely with the Head Chef (or leadership) to ensure quality and consistency

  • Be a positive and respectful team player

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a professional kitchen preferred Not required

  • Knowledge of or interest in West African or diaspora cuisine a strong plus

  • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak service hours

  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a love for great food
