Job Description

Hiring For All Locations + opening in Midtown/Downtown Detroit area location in the next month. Will need 3-4 full-time clinicians at this location to complete court-ordered sexual health/risk assessment evaluations, run process groups, run didactic groups, and see private clients.


Must be willing to work IN PERSON, have a clinical license or be license eligible, and work with those on parole and probation for sex offenses.

Overview

Provide a range of mental health + wellness services, centered on sexuality + sexual health, the justice system, + relationships. W2, benefits, paid for all hours worked. (Part-time works too if fully-licensed or already trained in sexual health work!)

Job Description

Provide assessments, individual, group, couples, + family therapy, wellness services, community events, + other related services.


Position Experience & Expectations:

  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Clinical Director to provide in person + remote services, + participate in any additional program-related services. Training will be provided for all services.
  • Attend scheduled supervision, meetings,+ consultations on time, incorporating outcomes into clinical activities.
  • Provide effective, complete, + timely service documentation + caseload management.
  • Maintain expected billable session hours and availability per week.
  • Stay current with research, training, + best practices in agency specialty areas.
  • Work collaboratively, compassionately, + ethically with all clients, staff, and community partners from a strengths-based, sex-positive, humanistic, + culturally- and trauma-responsive model.
  • Build + maintain strong collaborative working relationships with clients, staff, community referral sources and partnerships, such as physicians, attorneys, parole and probation officers, the Michigan Department of Corrections, the court system, + other third parties.
  • Provide timely, ethical, + effective crisis assessment, management, and documentation.
  • Hold anti-racist, inclusive, sex-positive, + human rights-oriented values that are demonstrated in speech and action clinically + personally, exemplifying the core foundation of the agency + community responsibility.
  • Willingness to work in a Radical Candor (www.radicalcandor.com/) environment of feedback, actively engaging in candid interpersonal communication and boundaries, both personally and professionally.
  • Maintain active licensure in the state where work + services are provided, including required continuing education to maintain licensure, professional competence, agency contracts, + maintaining good standing with the appropriate professional boards + payers.
  • Read and abide by the organization’s policies, practices, and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and relevant agency operating procedure manuals.
  • Maintain adequate client retention rates.
  • Hold strong clinical interviewing, assessment, and conceptualization skills.
  • Understand and implement HIPAA and confidentiality compliance at all times.
  • Ability to effectively utilize agency software and platforms.
  • Prioritize own mental health and emotional self-regulation through effective caseload management and planned time off.
  • Ability to be self-directive, independent, and work efficiently.
  • Strong professional writing, analytical, and conceptualization skills.
  • Other duties or expectations as agreed upon ahead of time.

  • Prior training in corrections, couples/relationship therapy, trauma therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, sexual behavior problems, working with marginalized identities and communities, sex therapy, LGBTQQIP2SA+, psychodynamic therapies, and group therapy modalities.
