Pay Rate: $100,000 – $125,000 base salary; 40% commission on new business and 25% on renewals; Year 1 OTE up to $200K with top performers reaching $300K–$500K

Position Summary
This is a high-impact, backfill Voluntary Benefits Sales Consultant role based in Midland, TX, offering a rare opportunity to step into an existing, established book of business on Day One. The inherited portfolio consists primarily of medical coverage clients, creating immediate and ongoing opportunities to expand relationships by selling additional voluntary and ancillary benefit solutions.
Once established, the role carries ownership of a Texas-based territory, with flexibility to leverage existing relationships from outside the state. This position is ideal for a proven benefits sales professional who wants immediate revenue responsibility, strong internal support, and meaningful upside without starting from scratch.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of an existing book of employer clients on Day One, initially focused on medical benefits
- Expand revenue within the existing portfolio by cross-selling voluntary and ancillary benefits
- Sell products including MEC, MVP, STD/LTD, critical illness, accident, LTC, and identity theft
- Support clients during their transition to electronic enrollment and benefits administration platforms
- Develop new broker and employer relationships across Texas, with flexibility to bring out-of-state relationships
- Act as a consultative sales partner, advising on benefit design, carrier selection, and voluntary product strategy
- Collaborate with internal proposal, implementation, and account management teams for seamless execution
- Travel within the territory as needed to support clients and close new business
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience selling voluntary or ancillary benefits through broker or employer channels
- Strong understanding of voluntary benefit positioning and enrollment strategies
- Experience expanding existing client relationships through cross-selling
- Active Health & Life insurance license (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Comfort working onsite during the initial onboarding and client transition period
- Strong relationship-building, presentation, and closing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing broker or employer relationships in Texas or surrounding states
- Experience supporting electronic enrollment or benefits administration rollouts
- Background selling into small to mid-sized employer groups
- Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating with internal partners
