Job DescriptionShipping and Receiving ClerkAutomation Personnel Services is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a company based in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key part in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring accurate shipments and supporting efficient logistics operations.
Pay Rate$19.00 – $22.00 per hour
Schedule and HoursMonday through Friday, 1st shift. Overtime may be required.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues
- Process received goods into ERP or warehouse systems
- Prepare outgoing shipments including packing lists, bills of lading, and labels
- Coordinate with carriers and internal teams for pickups and deliveries
- Stage materials and finished goods for shipment
- Ensure shipments meet customer and packaging requirements
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
- Assist with inventory control including cycle counts
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate shipment status and material needs with internal teams
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred
- Experience preparing bills of lading and packing lists
- Basic computer and ERP system experience
- Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
