About the Role

The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations in a high-volume distribution and last-mile delivery environment. This position is responsible for leading daily warehouse activities, training and guiding team members, and ensuring orders are processed, staged, and dispatched on time. The Warehouse Lead acts as a working leader, balancing hands-on tasks with coordinating workflow and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Align with the Warehouse manager daily.

  • Lead by example through active participation in daily tasks.

  • Motivate and inspire your team to perform at their best.

  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to warehouse associates.

  • Monitor performance, address issues promptly, and escalate concerns when needed.

Coordination with Team and Other Departments

  • Work closely with the delivery drivers to ensure accurate load-outs.

  • Collaborate with logistics team and field technicians to resolve order or routing issues.

  • Support cross-functional projects with electricians, HQ staff, and other departments as needed.

Daily Operations

  • Verify all inbounds are checked in and received accurately.

  • Oversee outbound shipments to ensure proper loading and documentation.

  • Ensure daily operational tasks are completed, including processing inbounds, fulfilling orders, staging deliveries, and conducting quality checks.

  • Assign and monitor tasks to ensure productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.

  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners) safely and efficiently.

  • Communicate and execute daily goals.

  • Promote a strong safety culture, addressing any concerns in coordination with the Warehouse Manager.

Secondary Responsibilities

ERP Transfer & Delivery Order Management

  • Help Oversee ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) (Odoo).

  • Ensure all Odoo work orders are completed and updated as needed.

  • Oversee inventory transfers to ensure accurate tracking of movements in the system.

  • Manage delivery orders by ensuring they are properly entered into the Odoo and validated

  • Ensure all delivery orders are picked, packed, and staged based on Odoo system data and install calendar.

  • Resolve discrepancies between ERP records and physical inventory.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college or vocational training preferred.

  • 3+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role (distribution, logistics, or last-mile delivery experience strongly preferred).

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS), and experience using handheld scanning devices.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

  • Forklift certification is preferred.
