A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2020-2021 school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Clarkesville, GA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with pediatric populations and deliver teletherapy services. There are 2.0 openings available, with the possibility to express caseload preferences if vacancies remain open. Candidates holding ASHA CCC certification are preferred, though newly graduated Clinical Fellows (CF) are encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows considered
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, including school-based services
- Ability to provide teletherapy effectively
- Familiarity with assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders in children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within educational teams
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Clarkesville, GA; opportunities also at Helen, Cleveland, and Cornelia
- Contract term from August through May of the school year
- Interviews available this and next week
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, individualized therapy, and progress monitoring for K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs
- Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with school and ASHA standards
- Utilize teletherapy platforms to ensure consistent service delivery when needed
