Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location (City, State): Santa Fe Springs, CA
Pay: Salary range $65,000-75,000/yr
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team within a well-established retail organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3+ years of experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment and supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Reconcile cash and bank activity and investigate variances
- Assist with fixed asset accounting and monthly depreciation tracking
- Support rent/store accounting and related payment processes
- Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation for external auditors
- Contribute to process improvements and support the ERP transition to NetSuite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Experience in retail, multi-location, or high-transaction environments is a plus
