Established in 2018, Florida Asphalt & Concrete (FAC) was formed to meet the immense demand for commercial asphalt paving and concrete solutions across Central Florida. Currently serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Hernando, Citrus, Pasco, Manatee, Polk, Hardee, Orange, Lee and Sarasota counties providing the infrastructure that makes modern life possible.

With state-of-the-art technology, FAC has the crews and equipment suitable for a variety of development projects ranging from public work (federal, county, city projects) to private single businesses, multi business office parks, and apartments to subdivision communities.

Guided by Senior Management, FAC has a team that is equipped to provide efficient budget and timeline solutions for contracts ranging upward of $20 million dollars in size. FAC is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated MOT Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating teams on-site to ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to specification. This role involves managing materials, plants, and labor resources, liaising with site management and clients, and maintaining quality control.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise road construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and crew members to ensure smooth project execution.
- Interpret and enforce MOT specifications, standards, and guidelines on all construction activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify compliance with MOT requirements and project specifications.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and resources to optimize efficiency and minimize expenses.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, materials usage, and inspection records.
- Ensure safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed on site, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to maintain project progress and quality.

Requirements:

- Construction Management, or related field experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in road construction and maintenance, with specific experience in MOT projects is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a foreman or supervisor on road construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of MOT regulations, specifications, and standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
