RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• Every other weekend coverage required
\n• 24-hour orientation provided
\n• Patient ratio of 5:1 during days, nights, and weekends
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• Travel experience required
\n• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility
\n• Floating to other units required
\n• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
\n• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
\n• New York state license must be in hand to submit
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, and use of rapid response/code teams
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical diseases including hospice, pain control, diabetic, heart, stroke, and telemetry patients
\n• Handle designated COVID and flu unit patients with increased oxygen requirements and trach patients on modified assignment
\n• Pre-start modules required (completed before start date, up to 10 hours total)

This healthcare facility operates a 39-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 39 patients. The unit provides comprehensive care for patients with various medical conditions and serves as a designated COVID and flu unit for patients requiring specialized respiratory care. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
