Our facility, located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, offers a diverse range of services, many of which are not typically found in community hospitals. These include CT scans, nuclear medicine, echocardiography, and a family birth center, among others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the accountable manager for a specific patient care unit or department.
  • Oversee all daily operations, which include:
    • Staffing and scheduling
    • Departmental planning and budgeting
    • Ensuring effective care delivery systems and processes
  • Guarantee the provision of safe, high-quality care and an outstanding experience for patients and their families.
  • Assume 24/7 responsibility for all departmental functions.
  • Maintain effective communication across professional disciplines and cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Encourage and uphold shared governance principles.
  • Ensure staff education and competency in patient care practices.
  • Collaborate regularly and effectively with physicians, colleagues, and organizational leadership.
  • Align departmental goals and operations with the strategic objectives of the organization.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A degree in nursing is mandatory (BSN or MSN/MN).
  • A master’s degree is required.
  • MSN/MN is preferred.
  • Internal candidates advancing from Assistant Nurse Manager may fulfill the master’s degree requirement by providing proof of a master's degree in progress, expected to be completed within two years of promotion; progress updates will be communicated to the site CNO. Assistant Nurse Managers serving in this role temporarily are not required to have an MSN/MN in progress if the assignment is less than three months, unless approved by the CNO.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of leadership experience is required.
  • Demonstrated progression in leadership roles is preferred.
  • Prior clinical experience in the relevant specialty area is highly advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proven knowledge of clinical operations, including staffing, scheduling, budget management, workflow planning, staff development, quality assurance, safety, and patient experience management.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and leadership abilities, with a commitment to leading by example.
  • Proficiency in keyboard skills and the ability to navigate electronic systems relevant to job functions are essential.

Licensure

  • Current RN licensure for the applicable state.
  • BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Specialty-specific certification is highly desirable.

Compensation

Pay range: USD $78.22 - USD $118.10 per hour.
