Position Overview
The Traveling Senior Superintendent is responsible for leading the planning and execution of large-scale concrete projects across multiple locations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex schedules while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all phases of concrete construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to develop comprehensive project plans and turnover strategies.
- Ensure proper staging of materials, equipment, and workstations to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor labor and resource allocation, including timesheets, delivery tickets, and daily logs.
- Track project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Communicate project status and updates to leadership and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction or self-performing general contracting, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Experience overseeing projects valued at $50 million or more.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively nationwide, including extended stays at project sites.
