Job Title: Bookkeeper with Construction Industry Experience

Job Description: You will be responsible for financial records with a focus on accounts receivable. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, supporting our construction projects, and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AR billing, cash application, reconciliation and collections

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.

  • Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project-based coding and financial reporting.

  • Handle lien waivers, work-in-progress payments, and other construction-specific financial tasks.

  • Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry. (AP, AR and reconciliations)

  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices in a high-volume office.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Timberline) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Work in Progress (WIP) payments and project budget management.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of lien waivers, work-in-progress payments, and project-based coding is a plus.

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
