Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Special Education teaching position focuses on Early Childhood (Pre-K) students in a Kansas City, KS school setting. The contract runs from ASAP through 5/22/26 and offers a caseload of 8 to 18 students, providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to the unique needs of early childhood students with disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
- Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and related service providers to promote student growth.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with early childhood special education populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 8-18 students effectively.
- Commitment to student-centered, inclusive teaching practices.
