ACISS is looking for a Software Support Specialist who's passionate about all things technical with solid technical writing capabilities. This would be a remote work position, however we are seeking candidates who are Florida residents that would by willing to travel to the Tampa Bay area periodically for face-to-face meetings and company events. Your responsibilities would include:
- Establishing a thorough understanding of our software products in order to author various forms of documentation.
- Drafting, editing, and reviewing a variety of documents including user manuals, technical specifications, training materials, and online help documentation.
- Authoring detailed documentation of defects and feature requests reported by our customers.
- Development and maintenance of training materials.
- Providing high quality feedback to our development team throughout the development/QA testing lifecycle.
- Solving a wide range of technical problems, and using your creativity to help continuously improve our documentation and processes.
Ideal candidates should exhibit the following:
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written (spelling, grammar, typing)
- Experience or comfort with technology, especially in the Microsoft stack
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
- “Test to break” approach to quality assurance
- Growth oriented mindset, in both personal development and company success
- Detail oriented approach to tasks
- Ability to work well with others while also working self-directed on assigned tasks
The following are required:
- All candidates MUST have the ability to pass ongoing fingerprint-based criminal background checks with no felony arrests or convictions.
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation in the IT/software space.
