As a key member of our nursing team, you will manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care under the guidance of the nurse manager. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality care in alignment with our departmental and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment:
- Continuously assess the physical and psychological condition of patients throughout their care journey.
- Document findings accurately and share significant data with relevant team members.
- Policy Adherence:
- Follow The Westerly Hospital's policies and procedures diligently.
- Staff Development:
- Act as a clinical resource and role model for your peers.
- Engage in training and educational activities to support fellow staff members.
- Customer Service:
- Exhibit respect, dignity, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions, following the principles of Patient Family and Centered Partnership.
- Team Collaboration:
- Recognize and appreciate the contributions of your colleagues, fostering a spirit of teamwork.
- Resource Utilization:
- Arrive on time and prepared for your shift, adhering to hospital policies regarding attendance and time-off requests.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
Experience: Previous experience in geriatric psychiatry and hospital settings is preferred.
Licensure: Current Rhode Island nursing license, BLS certification required, and CPI training within one year of employment.
Special Skills: Previous experience in geriatric psychiatric care is a plus.
