A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support students within a middle school setting in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This contract position offers an opportunity to work approximately 35-40 hours per week with a focus on delivering occupational therapy services to mild and moderate students across K-12 grades. The role includes collaboration alongside two onsite occupational therapists to provide prehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of onsite OTs.
  • Support students with mild to moderate needs to enhance their participation and success in school activities.
  • Assist in assessment, documentation, and reporting as required.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other staff to develop and follow individualized therapy plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and municate effectively with the therapy team and school personnel.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with students across K-12 grades, especially middle school age.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate with onsite occupational therapists.
  • Understanding of mild and moderate therapy needs in educational environments.
