Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Working in a dynamic 16-bed ICU, you’ll care for high-acuity patients with a 2:1 ratio, supported by unit techs and secretarial staff. Exposure to innovative tools such as GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Dräger ventilators will add valuable technical proficiency to your resume. This position ensures professional growth as you collaborate with a seasoned team and learn from various leadership styles. Each shift will expand your skillset, whether you’re managing ventilators, titrating medications, or participating in procedures like trach placements, bronchoscopies, and cardioversions.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Every other weekend scheduling required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with ICU experience
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Proficient with ventilator/sedation management and medication titration
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, positive attitude, and interest in collaborative care
  • Experience with Meditech documentation preferred
  • Charcoal gray scrubs required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive critical care as part of a highly qualified ICU team
  • Perform advanced procedures including trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
  • Educate patients using AIDET and enhance patient experience through clear communication and teaching
  • Maintain accurate documentation and medication administration
  • Adapt to floating within rotation, engaging with full-time and other travel nursing professionals
