This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Coding Specialist to accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for a variety of outpatient services, including ambulatory procedures, diagnostic imaging, and clinic visits. This remote role is ideal for coders who excel in independent work environments and are motivated by performance-based compensation. Coders will be expected to maintain high productivity and quality standards while navigating complex documentation across multiple specialties.

- Per-Chart Pay Model: Earn $7.00 per chart. High-performing coders average 7 charts per hour, with earnings directly tied to output.

- Flexible Scheduling: Work hours available between 6 AM – 6 PM PST, including weekends. Full-time and part-time options available.

• Code outpatient encounters with precision, excluding emergency department and professional billing charts
• Interpret clinical documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and compliance with payer guidelines
• Maintain productivity benchmarks (average 7 charts/hour) and quality scores above 95%
• Collaborate with auditing teams for feedback and continuous improvement
• Stay current with coding updates and regulatory changes
Requirements
- Certification: Active AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of outpatient hospital coding experience
- Technology: Proficiency with EPIC and 3M 360 platforms.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of outpatient coding guidelines and medical terminology
- Skills: High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent communication.
- Work Environment: Remote work with flexible scheduling options.
