Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services for K-12 students at a well-supported elementary school setting. The assignment involves working closely with a small, manageable caseload over the extended school year (ESY) program, giving you the chance to make a tangible difference within a tight-knit educational community.
Your schedule will begin with an initial work day on June 25 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by ESY programming held Monday through Thursday on June 29-July 1, July 6-9, July 13-16, and July 20-23. You’ll support students during the hours of 7:45 am to 12:31 pm, delivering focused therapy within the student attendance window of 8:00 am to 12:16 pm. Anticipate 3-5 working hours per week, with up to 4 additional hours on July 22-23 for closing responsibilities, such as updating student records and helping organize the therapy room.

- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience providing school-based or pediatric PT services, ideally within a K-12 environment
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
- Proven ability to manage small caseloads and document progress efficiently
- Skill in adapting therapy to diverse student needs, supporting both gross motor development and functional mobility
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based PT interventions to students across grade levels
- Maintain timely and accurate records and progress notes
- Collaborate with special education staff and family members to align goals
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive therapy environment
- Assist with setup and wrap-up of therapy space at the end of the ESY session
