The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional service to our business clients while supporting producers and underwriters with account management, policy servicing, and renewal preparation. This role involves hands-on insurance knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple commercial accounts efficiently. It is a proactive and independent position.
This is an in-office position and can be based out of any of our Alliance Insurance locations: Winston Salem, Clemmons, Mount Airy, Walnut Cove, or Pilot Mountain. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will work closely with a team of licensed professionals and collaborate with a wide range of carriers in the independent agency system.
Work Environment:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- In-office position with potential for occasional travel to other nearby office locations

Responsibilities
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a book of commercial lines accounts, ensuring all service needs are met
- Process endorsements, certificates, audits, cancellations, and policy changes
- Support producers with new business quoting and proposal preparation
- Coordinate renewal processes, including applications, quotes, and client communications
- Serve as a liaison between clients and carriers
- Review policy documents for accuracy and completeness
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer leads to producers
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation

Requirements
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of commercial lines products including property, liability, auto, and workers' compensation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to build relationships with carriers and clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Active North Carolina Property & Casualty license required
- 5+ years of commercial insurance experience
- Designations such as CISR, CIC, or CRM are a plus
