Job Title: Design Lead (Senior)

Position Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Design Lead to bring human-centered design practices to state digital initiatives. This role will champion user needs, guide UX research, and lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and design artifacts to improve user experiences. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitate workshops, and integrate design solutions into state services to enhance accessibility and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of intuitive user experiences across digital services.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and journey maps.
- Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to align design with goals.
- Develop responsive interfaces using frameworks like Bootstrap and Angular.
- Facilitate workshops and usability testing to gather user feedback.
- Translate user needs into actionable design improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility and UX/UI standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UX and service design.
- Expertise in design tools and methodologies (wireframing, prototyping, journey mapping).
- Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
