Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Job Location: Duquesne, PA
Salary: $75K-125K
Requirements: 5+ years of civil engineering/geotechnical engineering required. Experienced with Retaining wall and slope stability design also required.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing data, and designing foundations, retaining walls, and other structures. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and safety of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and soil testing to assess site conditions
- Analyze data and prepare geotechnical reports for projects
- Design foundations, retaining walls, and other earth structures
- Evaluate slope stability and provide recommendations for land development
- Collaborate with civil engineering teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project design
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations
- Provide technical support during construction and monitor site conditions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering
- E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification or P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering/civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation design
- Experience with retaining wall and slope stability design
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and data analysis tools
