City Rent A Truck and its brother company, City Truck Equipment are fast-growing companies dedicated to supporting our customers with the best in vocational work truck rentals and upfitting solutions.
We are seeking a Territory Account Manager to support the continued growth of both brands within a defined region in the Northeastern U.S. This is a newly created role designed for a high-performing sales professional who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue, and executing strategic regional growth plans.
This position blends business development, account management, regional strategy execution, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional customer service and measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Represent the core values of both City Rent A Truck and City Truck Equipment in all interactions
- Prospect new business for both rental and upfitting services
- Maintain and grow an existing book of business
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within current accounts
- Partner cross-functionally with departments to ensure customer commitments are met
- Represent both brands at trade shows, customer visits, and industry networking events
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership on targeted regional campaigns
- Stay informed on competitive activity and trends within the truck rental and vocational upfitting industries
- Support national account relationships in coordination with other sales team members
- Travel to customer sites as needed
- Perform related administrative tasks
Qualifications
- 4+ years of B2B sales experience-Preferred
- Experience in truck rental, equipment rental, fleet services, or vocational upfitting -Preferred
- Proven track record of prospecting and closing new business
- Strong negotiation skills and technical aptitude
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., conduct vehicle walk-arounds, and stand for extended periods
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Schedule & Travel
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on workload and project timelines.
- Overnight and same-day travel is expected and includes trade shows, customer visits, and prospecting. Hotel, airfare, and meal stipend are covered by the company.
