Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time travel opportunity with school districts in the Aurora, Colorado area for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for qualified professionals seeking a travel assignment while supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education teaching license
Compliance with all state and district certification requirements
Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required
Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred
Travel Position Requirements:
Must hold an active license in the state of Colorado
Must maintain a permanent residence outside of the assignment area
Must have and demonstrate dual housing expenses during the contract period
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities
Provide direct instruction in inclusive and self-contained classroom settings
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of IEP goals
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
