Position: Welding Engineer I

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to lead welding operations, including robotic programming, process development, and quality assurance. This role focuses on optimizing welding procedures, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality fabrication standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage welding projects from concept through completion
- Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures and SOPs
- Program and set up robotic welding arms for production
- Review and improve existing welding processes for efficiency and quality
- Analyze engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Ensure proper implementation and compliance with welding procedures
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure adherence to standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support fabrication goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of welding engineering or related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience programming and setting up robotic welding systems
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy and precision welding techniques
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and modeling
- Ability to operate manual mills and lathes
- Strong understanding of welding inspection and quality control processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
