About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roads Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Homeowner Community industry. As a Roads Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of our roads. You will work closely with a team of professionals to maintain and repair roadways and other transportation infrastructure. Your work will be critical to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of drivers and pedestrians alike.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in road maintenance or a related field
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Certification in heavy equipment operation
- Certification in CDL
- Experience with project management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of roads and highways to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs
- Repair and maintain roadways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as bulldozers, graders, and backhoes
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers and construction workers, to complete projects on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
Skills:
As a Roads Maintenance Technician, you will utilize a variety of skills on a daily basis. You will need to have a strong understanding of road maintenance and repair techniques, as well as the ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment. Additionally, you will need to be able to work collaboratively with other professionals, such as engineers and construction workers, to complete projects on time and within budget. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills are also essential in this role. Finally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be necessary to ensure effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
