Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available at a K-12 school in Cuba, NY, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role serves students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing critical psychological support and assessments to enhance educational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support students' emotional and behavioral development
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral management within the school setting
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations regarding student services
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 student populations
- Strong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of current educational laws, regulations, and best practices in special education psychology
