Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Psychologist position is available at a K-12 school in Cuba, NY, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role serves students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing critical psychological support and assessments to enhance educational outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support students' emotional and behavioral development
  • Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral management within the school setting
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations regarding student services

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of current educational laws, regulations, and best practices in special education psychology
