POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Pharmacy Program Manager leads clinical pharmacy services, oversees staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and advances patient care initiatives. This role supports strategic planning and integration of pharmacy programs within clinical teams and care models within Christ Community Health Services, Inc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Leadership:
- Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services
- Ensures patient care needs are met across the care continuum
- Collaborates with pharmacy and medical leadership to expand services
- Develops clinical policies, workflows, and therapeutic protocols
- Provides direct patient care and medication management for high-risk populations
- Serves as an expert on medication usage, interactions and compliance to medical and pharmacy staff
2. Supervision & Management:
- Leads and manages 3–10 Clinical Pharmacists across contracts
- Performs interviews of prospective candidates
- Ensures proper training of all new clinical pharmacists and technicians
- Oversees scheduling, performance reviews, and achievement of KPIs
- Sets goals, tracks KPIs, and ensures clinical compliance
- Ensures appointments, credentialing, and reappointments are completed
- Provides coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
- Conducts chart reviews, competency assessments, and staffing oversight for entire clinical pharmacy team
- Ensures program accountability of outcomes of patients such as chronic disease measures, polypharmacy, and quality of life improvement
- Serves as APPE Ambulatory Care preceptor for PharmD students for affiliated schools and colleges of pharmacy
- Program Development:
- Provided education and guidance for clinical staff in complex clinical scenarios
- Designs training, orientation, and fellowship/residency programs
- Leads quality improvement initiatives and medication use evaluations
- Prepares for accreditations and regulatory audits
- Enhances policies and workflows with clinical tools
- Stays current with treatment and clinical pharmacy guidelines

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Required: Doctor of Pharmacy
Experience: Post Degree Residency or Board Certified in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy – PGY-1 required; PGY-2 preferred
Licenses or Certifications: Active, unrestricted TN Pharmacist License, BLS; Valid, unrestricted drivers license
Mental Requirements
Level 1 – Requires some concentration and normal attention. Generally, once the job is learned, the tasks can be performed more or less automatically.
