Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Woods Cross, Utah. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting who excel at managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records while adhering to deadlines and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Perform detailed bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Record and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage the general ledger and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures to prepare accurate financial statements.
• Utilize NetSuite software to streamline accounting processes and reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.
• Prepare reports and analyses to support financial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing general ledger activities.
• Solid understanding of journal entries and month-end close processes.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
