Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position involves performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to provide accurate diagnostic information under the supervision of a qualified radiologist. The role supports both clinical needs and departmental research and education initiatives related to MRI technology. Effective communication and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential, as well as handling challenging patient interactions with professionalism and escalating issues when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI scans using Philips and GE MRI scanners with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize Epic for electronic medical records and McKesson imaging systems for documentation and imaging workflow.
- Participate actively in departmental teaching and research activities.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, radiologists, and healthcare team members.
- Manage challenging patient interactions appropriately and escalate to management if needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiology program.
- Minimum of 5 years MRI experience required.
- Current ARRT (R)(MRI) certification or ability to obtain ARRT certification within one year.
- At least 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma hospital setting.
- Proficient with computer navigation and email systems.
- Experience operating Philips MRI equipment required.
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
