About the Role:
** This position will be in Crossville TN and in Lenoir City TN. We have multiple locations and you will spend your time split between the two locations.
The Warehouse Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse activities, directly impacting the overall supply chain performance. This position involves managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the organization’s logistics objectives. The Warehouse Assistant collaborates closely with team members to optimize space utilization and maintain a safe, organized work environment. By handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, the role ensures timely and secure movement of materials within the warehouse. Ultimately, this position contributes to meeting customer demands by facilitating accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or general warehouse operations.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and data entry.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

- Previous experience in inventory control and logistics coordination or willing to learn.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments to verify accuracy and quality.
- Operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts to move goods safely within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory control through regular stock counts and data entry into warehouse management systems.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with shipping standards.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.

The required skills such as shipping and receiving, pallet jack operation, and inventory control are essential for daily tasks like moving goods, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate stock records. Proficiency with forklifts and electric pallet jacks enables the Warehouse Assistant to handle heavy materials safely and efficiently, reducing downtime and preventing workplace injuries.
