Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) – Ortho/Neuro Trauma (Charge Nurse)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Rotating Weekends Required
Pay Rate: $35.65 – $47.64/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to provide leadership and clinical oversight within a high-acuity Ortho/Neuro Trauma unit. In this Charge Nurse role, you will coordinate unit operations, support nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate nursing operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and care transitions
  • Monitor patient care to ensure compliance with clinical standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Manage nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 6:1)
  • Support staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination
  • Participate in staff training, hiring, and performance evaluations
  • Address conflict resolution and uphold organizational policies
  • Maintain adequate unit supplies and equipment
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active RN license (or compact license)
  • BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
  • ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg RN experience
  • Strong acute care experience required
  • Prior Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • Must have recent, hands-on clinical experience
