Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) – Ortho/Neuro Trauma (Charge Nurse)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Rotating Weekends Required
Pay Rate: $35.65 – $47.64/hour (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to provide leadership and clinical oversight within a high-acuity Ortho/Neuro Trauma unit. In this Charge Nurse role, you will coordinate unit operations, support nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nursing operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Monitor patient care to ensure compliance with clinical standards and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Manage nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 6:1)
- Support staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination
- Participate in staff training, hiring, and performance evaluations
- Address conflict resolution and uphold organizational policies
- Maintain adequate unit supplies and equipment
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active RN license (or compact license)
- BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg RN experience
- Strong acute care experience required
- Prior Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Must have recent, hands-on clinical experience
