Environmental Services Technician (EVS) – 1st Shift
Philadelphia PA
Shift & Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- May require rotation on weekends and holidays
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine cleaning, disinfection, and waste management tasks in patient care and non-patient care areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces following infection control protocols
- Handle waste disposal, including biohazard materials, in accordance with facility guidelines
- Replenish supplies such as linens, paper products, and cleaning materials
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all hospital safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff
Qualifications:
- Previous EVS, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
