SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist will run lead and support the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, team member relations, benefits administration, safety, and culture blueprinting. As a trusted advisor and critical liaison, this role will serve as an accessible presence and HR point-of-contact for team members. This role will serve as a connection point for people and business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition, and Onboarding
- Own the full-cycle talent acquisition process, running each requisition as a front-to-back project, including, but not limited to:
- Requisition planning and strategizing
- Job posting, sourcing, screening, and interviewing
- Offer administration and negotiation
- Pre-employment verification and administration
- Execute to and continuously improve new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand the knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, and culture alignment required for each opening and translate into actionable strategy.
- Execute to and continuously improve new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including but not limited to: safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Regional Human Resources Manager.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when necessary.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Culture, Morale, and Team Member Experience
- Champion a culture and programs that create a culture where each individual feels seen, valued, and connected to their team and mission.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute on Team Member recognition programs, events, appreciation meals, and morale-building activities.
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement strategies and support translating feedback into actionable programs, actions, etc.
Safety and Workplace Environment:
- Administer Workers' Compensation claims, maintain OSHA logs, and ensure Affirmative Action/EEO regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment
- Provide auxiliary support in maintaining PPE and consumable office supplies as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is a lead but no direct supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Computer skills are sufficient to log in and out of ERP and Payroll time tracking software.

- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime in the evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of 2 years’ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract up to four place decimals. Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
